All Fly Rod Series are custom standard built fly rods with high-quality components. These rods are available in 5 blank choices depending on your needs. The blanks used are NFC Iconoglass, NFC LMX (Euro/Czech Nymph included in this line), NFC Gamma Alpha or Gamma Beta, and NFC Carbon Air (also known as C602).

The Heritage Headwater Series

What is Iconoglass? NFC wanted to challenge the traditional understanding of “glass is boring” or “glass is heavy” or “glass is too slow”. Iconoglass blanks will challenge this notion with every cast.  Iconoglass colors are achieved by adding pigment to the resin of the pre-preg, as opposed to traditional coating of blanks. This reduces the weight of the blanks and keeps their action crisp. Some natural inclusions (specs) are normal as they are a part of the resin and fiber manufacturing process. Iconoglass Blanks are made from S2/Zentron fiber and come unsanded because sanding a blank makes the action softer, not sanding the blanks makes the fast Zentron action even faster. The colors available are: Purple, Royal Blue, Cyan, Green, Gray, and Natural. These blanks are offered in 4, 5, 8, 10, and 12 wt.

The Headwater Range Series

The LMX line of blanks was developed as a fast action four-piece line across all fly segments it is NFC's most expansive lineup covering Spey/Switch/Czech (Euro) Nymph/ All-Purpose fly-fishing techniques. Accuracy and durability is the focus of the LMX line, and their fast action allows the angler to “go the distance” when required. The LMX rod blank series are built with 40T and 50T carbon blends. They are a matt grey unsanded blank so not to change the action or sensitivity of the rod and are built with "Armor Resin". This resin has a toughener added to the pre-preg resin to prevent micro-cracks and crack propagation caused by fly on blank impacts. These models are unsanded for strength and durability and slate gray in the natural carbon color. Depending on the specific blank the offered blanks vary in weight sizes; however overall, they range from 0-12 wt.

The Wind Tamer Series

If you are looking for a fast action blank made with the latest generation materials look no further than the gamma alpha and gamma beta. These blanks feature a multi-modulus construction and are some of the lightest, toughest, blanks that NFC has designed. Gamma Alphas are faster than the classic Gary Loomis actions and perfect for conditions where a little more wind or distance is required out of a cast. Gamma Beta is an extra fast fly blank designed for casting into the wind for long and for long distance casts. Both models are also hand sanded, slate gray in the natural carbon color. The Alpha's are offered in 3, 4, 5, and 6 wt. The Beta's are offered in 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 wt.

The ApexLite Pro Series

The C602 (Carbon Air) fly rods are just as tough and fast as the Gamma Beta series rods but are built with the latest lightweight materials on the market; you won't find a more sensitive and lightweight rod out there. These are just as strong or stronger than the Gamma Series but you will be amazed at the light weight and crispness of the Carbon Air Fly Rod. The Carbon Air rods are hand sanded, slate gray in the natural carbon color. The Carbon Air Rods are available in 5, 8, and 12 wt.
